Where to Book a Dorm Bed in Amsterdam

If you are looking for a dorm bed in Amsterdam, you will find plenty of options—but not all of them are upfront about what you really get. Bij ons draait het om het bare minimum, perfectly delivered: a clean bunk, an en suite bathroom, free WiFi and bedlinen, plus a bar, events and activities to fill the hours when you are not trying to sleep. In this overview we walk you through why a dorm bed might be right for you, what to expect, where to book and how the process works. From women-only dorms to 8-bed chaos-friendly rooms in the heart of Amsterdam, you will know exactly what you are getting into.

Which services and options do you have when booking a dorm bed?

When you book a dorm bed with us in Amsterdam, you choose between mixed dorms (4, 6 or 8 beds) and a women-only dorm, all with en suite bathrooms. Every bed comes with sheets, a towel, personal lighting, USB ports and a lockable drawer—just bring your own padlock. Breakfast starts at 7:30, the Brinker Bar keeps drinks and snacks going late, and you can add extras like bike rental or Booze Cruize tickets to turn your bed into a full Amsterdam experience. We keep it simple, budget-friendly and social, without pretending to be fancy.

In which situations does a dorm bed in Amsterdam make sense?

A dorm bed is ideal if you are in Amsterdam for memories, not luxury. Maybe you are here for club nights at Onder Hans, a pub crawl, or just to stumble back from the canals to a central, low-frills base. You pay for what you actually use: a solid bed, hot shower and a place to drop your backpack between adventures. Our 8-bed dorms suit the “good time over good night’s sleep” crowd, while smaller dorms and the women-only room work for travellers who want some comfort without killing their budget.

What should you understand about booking a dorm bed in Amsterdam?

Before you book a dorm, it helps to know how hostels like ours work. Check the basics: age rules (we only accept 18–40 in shared dorms), maximum stay (5 nights), check-in from 14:00 and check-out at 10:00, plus 12.5% city tax on top of the nightly rate. In our dorms you share the room but have your own bed, drawer and access to a private en suite bathroom per room. Earplugs, sheets and towels are included, and house rules keep the chaos fun rather than dangerous.
