Planning a group trip to Amsterdam and want beds, meals, and a bar under one roof? Hans Brinker offers a no-frills hostel base with an on-site restaurant in the city center. We combine dorms and private rooms with group-friendly dining, helping you keep your crew together without the hassle. For groups of 25 or more, or for any student, sports team, or event-based stay, you will need to send a group request to confirm availability. The maximum stay for groups is five nights. A request is not a confirmed reservation: check availability, room allocation and the payment and cancellation conditions in your offer before committing.
What room options are available for groups?
We offer several room types to fit different group sizes and budgets. You can choose from private rooms or beds in shared dormitories. Options include:
- 4, 6, and 8 bed mixed dorms
- 6 bed women-only dorms
- Private twin and double rooms
Every room has an en-suite bathroom, and bed linen and towels are included. WiFi is free throughout the hostel. Dorms have lockable drawers for your belongings, but you will need to bring your own lock. Booking individual beds does not guarantee your group will be in the same room. Our house rules give priority to full room reservations, but this does not guarantee a specific allocation. For details on each room type, see our rooms page.
What should a group organizer check before booking?
To get an accurate offer, have the following details ready for your group booking request:
- Your preferred dates of stay.
- The total number of people in your group.
- The ages of all guests, as specific rules may apply.
- Whether you need exclusive rooms or are happy with individual beds in shared dorms.
- Your meal requirements, such as including breakfast or other meals.
- Any dietary needs to ask about when you make your request.
- A careful review of the payment terms, deposit, and cancellation policy in our offer.
What services and options do hostels with restaurants offer?
A hostel with a restaurant offers convenience: sleep upstairs, then eat and drink downstairs. Breakfast is available from 7:30 AM; check your group offer to confirm if it is included in your rate. You can arrange meals for your group in advance, so everyone is ready for a day of museums or canal cruises. The Brinker Bar and restaurant also serve simple meals and late night snacks. For groups, having everything on site saves time and makes planning easier, especially with different arrival times and energy levels.

When does a hostel with a restaurant make the most sense?
Choosing a hostel with its own restaurant and bar is ideal when you want your group to stay together without constantly coordinating meeting points. It is a simple way to start the day on time, even after a long night. It can also help with budgeting, as you can compare an agreed meal plan against the cost of eating out. For events, sports teams, or student trips, it creates one central base for sleeping, eating, and socializing.

What should you know about hostels with restaurants in Amsterdam?
At Hans Brinker, we keep things simple and budget friendly, not gourmet. Our location near Leidseplein and the Museum Quarter puts you within walking distance of bars, attractions, and public transport. While quiet hours in the rooms start at 10 PM, the bar and our basement club may have events. Be aware that booking rooms does not mean you have hired a private venue; our restaurant and discotheque can be rented separately for events. Age policies depend on the booking type. If your group includes anyone under 18 or aged 40 and above, ask reservations to confirm eligibility and the suitable room arrangement before paying. Do not assume that choosing a private room or an entire dorm automatically confirms acceptance.

What can your group expect during the stay?
Staying with us is straightforward. Check in is from 2 PM, check out is at 10 AM, and our reception is open 24/7. Let us know in advance if your group will arrive after midnight. You can drop your bags, find your bed, and start your trip, as long as you respect the house rules. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, and the bar is open for food and drinks during the day. Please note that no outside food or drinks are allowed in these areas. For a smooth stay, keep your confirmed booking details handy.

Where can you find and compare these hostels in Amsterdam?
When searching for a group hostel with a restaurant in Amsterdam, location is key. We are in the city center, a short walk from Leidseplein and Vondelpark, with easy tram access from Amsterdam Centraal station. This makes it simple for large groups to get around. While comparison websites are useful, booking directly is often best for large groups or those with specific needs, as we can help match you with the right rooms and meal plans.

How do you start booking a hostel with a restaurant in Amsterdam?
For group bookings of 25 or more people, or for student trips, sports teams, or events, you must send a request via our group form. We will then send you an offer that outlines the payment terms, cancellation policy, and deposit information. A city tax of 12.5% of the net accommodation cost is due upon arrival.
